OUR FACILITIES

 

Located at close proximity to the Lefferts Blvd. and Hillside Avenue major intersection, the Church of the Resurrection offers much convenience from the surrounding neighborhoods. The Q 10 bus, which stops on Lefferts Blvd & 85th Ave. at the Church’s property, means we’re only 5 minutes from Queens Blvd . and the “E”, “F” and “V” trains at the Kew Gardens stop. The 121st Street “J” station is a short walk away. The Kew Gardens LIRR station is only a short distance away. The various facilities of our church’s physical plant are available for the community’s use. The monies requested by the church for such use enable it to continue meeting its operational expenses and thus further carry on its religious mission and purposes, and contribute to the maintenance of our historic buildings

 

o       Cummings Hall: (including the kitchen if requested) Cummings Hall has undergone refurbishing in calendar year 2006. With its stage and high ceilings it is an ideal place for dining events, choir practices, concerts, weddings and other large gatherings. (maximum seating 150)

 

o       The Pine Room: The pine room is available for meetings, classes, or smaller gatherings. The kitchen could also be requested for use in conjunction with “The Pine Room” (maximum seating 60)

 

o       The Sanctuary: The historic Church of the Resurrection, seating approximately 400, is available as a performance space for choirs, Orchestras, Music school recitals, Soloists & smaller Ensembles. It is an accessible and beautiful setting for appropriate events, respectful of the space’s nature and history
